Naish’s Kalmbach Paddles To The Podium At the 2014 Carolina Cup
Jenny Kalmbach recently made the challenging conditions at the 2014 Carolina Cup look easy by her impressive 2nd place finish!
With over 600 paddlers racing in a single day, the Elite Graveyard Race featured over 175 paddlers who participated in the grueling 13-mile race. Battling severe tidal currents that were rolling against them for 10 of 13 miles, light cross winds and horribly timed tides, this group had the odds stacked against them.
Jenny and her Naish Javelin 12’6” LE worked every bump and flatwater section to her advantage, sprinting the last 3-mile stretch to close the gap, only to hit the finish line just 6 seconds after the 1st place finisher. An exciting and nail biting finish for sure!
Amazing job Jenny!
Shout out to Naish Australia’s Toby Cracknell for his Top 10 finish as well!
