The calm, flat water at the Loutsa Gulf in Athens was full of foam from the paddles of over one hundred participants who stood at the starting line for the 4th stop of 3rd Hellenic SUP CUP 2013 on September 29, 2013.
Strong battles were fought as paddlers raced out of the first buoy turn as everyone tried to claim a better position. After the second, third and fourth buoy, the podium positions became clear up to the finishing line.
Amazing performances from George Konstantis who took the 2nd place (Naish Javelin 14’0” GX); Nikos Sirigos finished in 4th place (Naish Javelin 14’0”) and Nikos Skordos in 5th place (Naish Javelin 14’0” LE). For women, Mikaela Yasoumi finished 1st (Naish Javelin MC 12’6’’) and Konstantina Kontarini 3rd (Naish Javelin 14’0” LE).

This event was the last main race of 3rd Hellenic SUP CUP 2013 and now, the crowds are waiting for the final race on October 20th at the Corinth Canal Speed Crossing to declare the Champion for this year.
