Casper Steinfath Takes 1st at the 2014 Nautic SUP Paris Crossing
December 7, 2014, Paris, France — #TeamNaish rider, Casper Steinfath, took 1st place in the sprint, 2nd in long distance and 1st overall at the fifth annual Nautic SUP Paris Crossing on his 2015 Javelin 12’6″ x26 LE.
400 athletes showed up to compete in this world-renowned SUP race across Paris which routes riders along the scenic River Seine during the International Boat Show. Says Steinfath while commenting on his win, “I am extremely happy with my result and stoked that I finally got to win here in Paris against such strong competitors!
When contemplating his choice of board for the event, Steinfath mentioned that the Javelin “worked great in the calm Paris conditions. I loved the speed and glide of the board in the flat water, but also the added stability in tight situations!”
Also competing alongside Steinfath was fellow #TeamNaish rider, Kai Lenny as well as over 60 riders who chose to compete using the #NaishONE inflatable SUP. Ranked highest among the #NaishONE competitors was Nicolas Carliez who was presented with an invitation to compete at the N1SCO World Championship next year by Lenny.
