Exploring the ADX Nvision: Precision, Power, and Performance
Design and Development: Aluula X Quad-tex
The ADX Nvision was born from the desire to create a stiffer, more efficient version of the Q-series ADX. While the original ADX offered a balance of performance and affordability, we saw an opportunity to take it to the next level. The major goals of this wing was to reduce drag, stiffen up both the airframe and canopy, and incorporate a full carbon boom to enhance the control.
What truly sets the ADX Nvision apart is the use of Aluula Gold material, an ultra-light and stiff composite leading-edge material. The ADX Nvision is the only wing in our range with Aluula Gold. This allows for a reduced leading-edge diameter, while increasing the stiffness providing low deformation when overpowered, creating a very direct connection with the wing. The ADX Nvision is also the first wing that uses our industry-leading Quad-tex Canopy material, which is a very stiff canopy that pairs well with the Aluula leading edge. This combo increases the durability of the wing, eliminates profile migration, and provides a snappy feel when pumping the wing.
Technical Features: The Top 3 Design Elements
The top 3 elements that standout on the ADX:
Helium Airframe: The Aluula Gold leading edge and Quad Tex Canopy work together to create a stiff, responsive frame that maintains its shape in all wind conditions.
Carbon Boom: Single carbon handle for refined hand positioning and maximum durability, resulting in improved balance and control with scalloped strut for ergonomic handling.
Profile Refinements: Tuned profile per size provides a smoother power delivery increasing the upwind angle and allowing access to power all the time.
These features all work together in unison to create a very stiff, responsive wing that has great controllability and can push it insane angles up wind.

Enhanced Rider Experience: Power Meets Control
The balance between smooth power delivery and control is a defining factor in the ADX Nvision’s design. It’s intended to be pumped a bit more actively to get up in lighter winds, rather than being a static get-up.
This design allows the wing maximum control throughout the wind range, but especially at the upper end. We achieved this profile depth and twits to the wing, giving the rider fine control over how much power they want going through the wing at a given time. This enables precise control, making it easy to feather power on and off—even in high winds.
While the ADX Nvision is designed primarily for intermediate to advanced riders, its versatility extends across various disciplines. The wing is focused more on freestyle, cruising, and locking in to go fast, but it adapts to your riding style. The lightweight construction also makes it a great choice for downwinders and wave riding, offering exceptional drift and responsiveness.
Performance Insights: Potential Across All Conditions
The ADX Nvision is designed to excel in a variety of challenging conditions and riding styles, offering impressive versatility and control.
Gusty Conditions: Thanks to its ultra-stiff frame and canopy, the ADX Nvision remains stable, eliminating the bouncy feeling and providing consistent power delivery.
Upwind Performance: The reduced leading-edge diameter reduces drag, allowing the rider to push up wind at steeper angle with more speed.
Freestyle Capability: The light and stiff nature of the Helium Airframe makes it easier to go bigger than before, while the full boom provides perfect control of the wing for rotations and handle pass tricks.
Testing and Feedback
Throughout the development process, testing feedback played a crucial role in refining the ADX Nvision. One surprising discovery came from seam construction—overbuilding the seams on the leading edge initially restricted airflow and power generation. By fine-tuning this aspect, we optimized the wing’s breathing, ensuring smooth and efficient power delivery.
Looking Ahead
The ADX Nvision represents the culmination of years of innovation in wing and foil design. Everything we've learned during the development of previous wing and foil development packed a new high-performance package.
As the sport continues to evolve, we anticipate certain features—such as full carbon booms—becoming the industry standard. Early wings didn’t fully complement boom setups, but as rider skill levels and equipment improve, booms are poised to take center stage.
