The first ever Fuerteventura SUP Challenge – Waves & Race recently took place from September 6th through the 8th on Fuerteventura Island at Corralejo Viejo.
Serial Lovers, Stephane Etienne and Nicole Boronat attended and added to the overall energy and stoke of the crowd. Congrats to Stephane for his 1st place finish in the Wave Event and Nicole’s 3rd place finish.
This event united some of the best local, national and international riders of SUP Surf and Race for three intense days of Stand up Paddle, allowing riders to take advantage of the excellent weather conditions and compete at the highest level. This Challenge was considered an open race for the Canarian Stand Up Paddle Circuit where the winners will qualify for the Spanish Championship (FES).
The racing days were quite successful with about 60 participants competing in the Wave and Race Events. Overall, it was three competitive, fun-filled days of SUP racing that left everyone excited for next year’s event!
