Manca Notar wins the 2012 Engadin paddle!
The final event of the 2012 Naish SUP Tour in Switzerland took place in Plaun da Lej at Lake Sils on September 2nd and was also the “highest” (1800 m above sea level) SUP race of Europe. Paddlers were greeted by rather unusual weather conditions this year as it started snowing just one day before the event. However the day of the race was sunny and even though temperatures were still cold (7-10 degrees Celsius) it was perfect for the 12km Lake Tour in this beautiful spot in the Engadin valley. Slovenian Naish young gun, Manca Notar once again was dominating the women’s 14′ fleet – winning on her Javelin MC-14 only 9 minutes behind the first place finisher in the Men’s. Manca described the race as a 12km sightseeing tour, almost like a fairy tale! Congratulations, well done
