Manca Notar wins the SUP country championships in Vienna
A last minute decision to enter the SUP country championships in Vienna last weekend proved to be a very good one for Naish’s 15-year old young gun Manca Notar from Slovenia. After waking up super-early that same morning and driving 400km to Vienna to participate Manca was all pumped for the start of the race. The 8km long distance started at 1pm with slight winds and a little counter current. Manca – using her Javelin MC 14 – had a great start and even though her fin collected some weeds along the way she finished just 6 minutes behind the first male finisher in first for the women’s fleet. Second place in the womens went to another Naish rider – Ulla Waldhuber
“I’m very happy and satisfied with my win and summer windsurfing training which gave me endurance and strength”, said Manca.
In the mens division it was Naish Austria’s Roman Frühwald who placed third in both the sprint and long distance race making him the overall country champion.
Congratulations to all – Well done!
