Naish riders Kody Kerbox and Fiona Wylde Victorious @ The Naish Columbia Gorge Paddle Challenge
Naish’s Kody Kerbox & Fiona Wylde battled through howling winds, waves and strong currents on their Naish Javelin 14’0 LE’s to take the win at the Naish Columbia Gorge Paddle Challenge this past weekend at Hood River, OR. The beautiful but fierce 8-mile downwind & course races consisted of an ongoing battle between Kody, Georges Cronsteadt and Slater Trout during both days, with Kody taking 1st in the long distance race and 2nd in the course race, earning him a well-fought 1st overall in the event.
Meanwhile, the talented Fiona Wylde excelled in the women’s races ahead of some strong local and international paddlers and finished in a well-earned 1st overall with her combined times in the distance and course events. Great job Fiona!
Team Naish rounded out the Top 10 out of over 200+ paddlers with significant finishes by Noa Ginella & Mariko Strickland (4th), Jenny Kalmbach (5th), Karen Wrenn, Jerry Bess and Chuck Patterson.
Congratulations to Kody & Fiona for taking charge & the rest of team Naish. Way to represent!
