Naish Shines at the 2025 MFC Maui Pro-Am
The legendary Ho’okipa Beach Park came alive this spring for the 2025 MFC Maui Pro-Am — the first springtime World Cup at Ho’okipa in over two decades. With mast-high waves, shifting winds, and a stacked lineup of the world’s best wave sailors, it was an unforgettable return to one of the most iconic stages in windsurfing. And we’re proud to say: the Naish team delivered.
From junior riders to seasoned masters, the Naish crew showcased talent, style, and serious determination in one of the most demanding wave conditions the sport has to offer.

Koa Fabbio
"This was my first windsurfing competition, and it was super special. I placed 2nd in Juniors and 3rd in Pro Junior. The experience was amazing, especially when my mast hit the reef and broke during my last heat! After getting picked up and switching sails, I jumped back in and caught a final wave before the heat ended. It was intense, and I learned a lot about staying calm under pressure. I’m looking forward to training hard for next year!"
Michi Schweiger
"It was incredible to see the Maui Pro-Am back on the calendar after all these years. The mix of young talent and top pros made for an exciting competition. I was thrilled to place 3rd in the Masters and compete alongside the Naish team. Riding the gear I helped design made it even more special. I can’t wait for the Aloha Classic later this year!"

Julian Salmonn
"Still riding the high from this year’s Maui Pro-Am—what a journey. The conditions were intense—howling winds, heavy surf, and nonstop pressure. I was on my 4.2 Force4 and 88L Ho’okipa board, and that setup really helped me stay grounded.
I’d taken a knock to the head the day before the event, and for a moment, I wasn’t even sure I’d compete. But I pushed through and made it to the quarterfinals in the Men’s Pro Division. Just getting out there and feeling the wind again meant everything.
Seeing Koa compete in his first event and make the Junior podium—that was a highlight for me. And Michi finishing 3rd in the Masters? It made the week even more special. Being part of the Naish crew in conditions like these—it’s why we do this.
Already counting the days to the Aloha Classic."
Zdenek Maryzko
"The Maui Pro-Am was an awesome contest with challenging conditions. I was on my 4.2 Force4 and 84L Ho’okipa board, which felt perfect for the waves. I made it to the quarterfinals in the Men’s Pro Division, and it was inspiring to see Koa competing in his first contest and landing on the podium. Congrats to Michi for finishing 3rd in Masters. I'm already looking forward to the Aloha Classic!"

Looking Ahead
The Naish team, from the youngest to the most experienced, brought their A-game, showing what’s possible when passion, talent, and the right gear come together. We’re beyond proud of the results and the energy on the water.
