Ricardo Campello Takes 2nd Place at 2023 PWA Fiji Pro World Cup
Ricardo Campello’s performance at the 2023 Fiji Pro World Cup was spectacular. The Naish team rider and three times PWA Freestyle world champion demonstrated the essence of skill, power, and experience in his heats. Finishing at an impressive 2nd place, Campello held his own in the challenging waters of Cloudbreak. The Fijian waters are known for its powerful, yet unpredictable waves. And in such conditions, Campello proved to be a formidable force, showing his mastery in slashing under-the-lip cutbacks. His high-performance gear coupled with his larger build, allowed him to carve deep into the throwing lip of the waves. Ricardo Campello’s raw talent and techniques were on full display throughout the tournament. He proved that he was a force to be reckoned with, holding his ground against some of the world’s top windsurfers. His mesmerizing tactics, combined with his unrelenting determination, earned him a well deserved 2nd place in the Fiji Pro World Cup. He is now leading the tour heading into the next event in Pozo, Gran Canaria, Spain. We are excited to watch him compete in the rest of the PWA tour.
