On February 23, 2014, Ridge Lenny continued his winning streak for 2014 with a notable win in the Juniors Division at the Kekoa Ink Koa Bowl Event at Ho’okipa on Maui, Hawaii.
Competitors were given a single (and stacked) heat to make a name for themselves during the clean, 3-foot swell that rolled in for the day. After a strategy change half way through the heat, Ridge immediately caught a collection of solid waves and set himself up with some impressive scores.
“When I found out I won I was super stoked! It was a super fun event! Prior to winning the Na Kama Kai Challenge at Turtle Bay, I had not won a SUP junior since 2010…so winning two back-to-back events was really refreshing. I’m really looking forward to stepping up my level of competition this year!” – Ridge Lenny
Naish’s youngest windsurfer, Harley Stone, also participated in his first ever SUP competition and placed 5th in the Juniors Division. Way to go Harley!
Congrats to Team Naish!
