Team Naish Claims Victory at the 2014 Battle of the Paddle
Salt Creek Beach Park, California, October 4-5, 2014 – Amidst intense heat and some of the burliest waves the event has ever seen, the 7th Annual Battle of the Paddle played host to some of the best SUP riders of the world.
After some incredible wipeouts and heavy carnage, #TeamNaish Riders Kai Lenny, Casper Steinfath, Karla Gilbert and Kody Kerbox rose to the top of the heap.
Placing 1st in the Elite Men’s Race, Kai Lenny claimed victory for the second year in a row as he sped to the front of the pack—on his 2015 #NaishJavelin 12’6″ LE—in a legendary battle between himself, Danny Ching, Jake Jensen and Connor Baxter.
In the Men’s 12’6 Long Distance Race, Casper Steinfath charged into 1st place, while Naish Australia’s Karla Gilbert took 1st as the Women’s 12’6 Distance SUP Individual.
With the team name: “#go Big or Go Huge,” riders: Karla Gilbert, Kai Lenny, Casper Steinfath and Kody Kerbox honored their team’s namesake by winning 1st place in the Elite SUP Relay.
Congrats to all our #TeamNaish Riders who killed it on their 2015 #NaishJavelin LE 12’6″ boards! Performance racing is exactly what these were made for with a bottom shape built for lightning-fast acceleration and the ultimate gliding experience.
Special shout out to all of our #TeamNaish Riders for joining in the fun, including: Riggs Napoleon, Toby Cracknell, Noa Ginella, Jenny Kalmbach, Peter Steinfath and Chuck Patterson.
